Please let me know if you've had any experiences with this class and how you've delt with it in the past. Can the veils be dismissed by other means besides their specific counter (i.e. What are some common/good counters for an Initiate (besides knowing the specific counters needed for each veil). Is any creature with a moderately high intelligence able to figure it out somehow? Does it require a spellcraft check? Or would it be considered cheesy of me to assume that most intelligent creatures know what an Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil is and know most counters automatically. One of the questions I have about this class is about the veils themselves.Įach has it's own 'counter', but how are my player's enemies expected to know this. As long as he has not used up this spell, he may cast a Firey burst at 6d6 damage on a square at will as a standard action (6d6 because level 6 is the minimum level a cleric must be in order to be able to cast Daylight, IIRC). Moktar has the Daylight spell learned (a level 3 spell with the Fire descriptor). The firey gout is aimed at a square, not a character, so AC does not apply, and does the amount of D6s damage as the minimum caster level required for the level of the reserved spell being used to 'power' the firey burst. My campaign has one of my players playing a Dwarven Cleric of Kossuth (Fire God) who has the Firey Burst feat which allows him to spout a firey gout of flame at will as a standard action as long as he has a spell with the (Fire) descriptor learned.
